Dear Parents,
Hope you are having a wonderful Ramadan with your family.
We would like to thank all parents for their wonderful cooperation throughout and during the Spring Challenge on Century Tech. As we approach spring and the end of 2nd term, we would like to inform you about the upcoming breaks in the school calendar.
School will be closed for the Spring Break and Eid Holidays from Monday, March 25, 2024 to April 12, 2024. The school will reopen after the Eid Holidays on Monday, April 15, 2024, with regular school timing. The regular school timetable will be updated on Edupage accordingly.
We would like to draw your attention to the post-holiday calendar.
· Students will undergo the 3rd Phase of NGRT and annual cycle of GL Progress Test series. We will share GL Practice Worksheets for Year 4 to Year 10 students. Please ensure that the students practice these assessments during this break to prepare for the 3rd Term and GL Assessments held in May-June 2024.
· Parents will be able to view academic progress of their child/children, for 2nd term, on K12 platform (www.elps.k12net.com ) on 30th March
The following reading platforms will remain available for the students:
· English- MYON, ORB
· Arabic- Tasheeh
Students are encouraged to make use of these platforms as much as possible during the break. If you still do not have your child’s login credentials, please contact your child’s English teacher for MYON and Arabic Teacher for Tasheeh.
Students appearing for Summer Examinations (IGCSE, AS, A2 Edexcel) in May/June 2024 can collect their Statements of Entries w.e.f. April 15, 2024, after clearing all dues from Accounts Office. Any questions or clarification about the entries, subjects or schedules or clashes can be sent to Mr. Aftab Ahmad, Examination Officer at eo2@elspvtdubai.com.
As we are aware of the significance of Ramadan for our Muslim students and families, we have orgainsed a Free Ramadan Online Camp starting from 25th March till 3rd April 2024:Following activities will be conducted during this camp:
· 1. Memorization of Duas (Suhoor, Iftar, Three Ashra’s)
· 2. Memorization of hadith related to Ramadan
· 3. Ramadan Projects through Videos
· 4. My Ramadan Journal
· 5. Ramadan Quiz
· 6. Memorization of Surah Qadr
We will share a separate invitation through the Form Tutors for camp registration.
