Dear Students and Parents,


Assalam o Alaikum,


Congratulations on completing a wonderful term after coming back to school for Face to Face learning.


Kindly see the following reminders for the second term:


1) New Working Week: The UAE Government has announced a four-and-a-half-day work week, with the weekend comprising Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday.


Starting from January 1, 2022, all private schools in Dubai including ELPS will operate in accordance with the change, starting the week on Mondays and ending no later than 12pm on Fridays.


Further details will be shared before the start of the new term.


2) Mid Year Assessment: The schedule for the MYA had been published long back. The revised version, after the new working week, can be found here (https://elspvtdubai-my.sharepoint.com/:w:/p/atif/EdYDDRzklSdOtWGZ9iz5c4YBJ0nWiZVLLleSNDZhIS5bug?e=Q1cF27)

Please ensure that you have received the Portions for all subjects, you are aware of the paper format and the revision packs.


3) School Uniform: The mandatory requirement for students to wear full school uniform will return.


Therefore, kindly arrange to purchase these during the forthcoming winter holiday in order to ensure student compliance with ELPS guidelines


Dress Code must be followed strictly. No student without proper school jacket will be allowed to enter the school from first day of the new term.


4) Hair Cut: All the students should have proper haircut.


5) School IDs: School IDs must be worn all the time, specially while entering and leaving the school.


6) Electronic Attendance: Scanning the Cards is mandatory on both arrival and dispersal.


7) Punctuality: All the students to enter the school premises latest by 7:20 a.m

9) Winter Cup Winner: ELPS won another international championship and became the winner of Winter Cup organized by Century Tech. The top international schools throughout the world participated and we ended up at No. 1. The runner up was a school from UK.


Top performers from every cohort will be receiving the certificates and awards soon.


10) Expo Trips: The ELPS management focused on utilizing the life time opportunity of visiting the Expo 2020 Dubai and ensured that all of its students attend the event. During the first term all of the students from FS2 to Year 13 were provided an opportunity to participate in the world class event happing in Dubai. The school intends to provide more opportunities for multiple visits in coming weeks during the Second Term, inshallah. (The updated schedule for further visits will soon be shared by the Expo Coordinator, Mr Muhammad Akram)
