Dear Parents,
Hope you are fine and taking care of your loved ones.
This has been a challenging but amazing journey of Blended Learning Model at our School so far; where some have opted for on-site learning whereas others are doing Distance Learning.
GL Progress Tests: The school has started the delayed schedule of GL PTM, PTS and PTE. The timetable has already been distributed by the Assessment Team through School Portal i.e., EduPage. All core subjects, e.g. Mathematics, Science and English have arranged extended revision sessions to support the students in their preparations for the Progress Tests.
October Session of Edexcel Pearson IALs: The students who wanted to appear in October 2020 session are writing their exams. First exam started on Fifth of this month whereas the last one would be on October 21, 2020.
Half Term Break: The school will be having a Half Term Break for the First Term as per its approved calendar from KHDA. The break starts on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. The school will resume on Sunday, October 25, 2020. The board exams i.e. Edexcel Pearson IALs and GL PTs Assessment will continue as per the schedule distributed. School will continue welcoming students who have exams scheduled during the break while observing all health and safety protocols. Those who come for the GL Progress Tests will enter through Gate # 1 and leave for home through Gate # 2.
Weekly Homework Planner: A large number of parents had suggested that the homework should be channelized and be available to the students & parents in one single click i.e. at one platform. We took it as a challenge and have started sharing a compiled version of homework in one place with the links being shared through EduPage with all the students by their respective Form Tutors.
Monthly Progress Reports: To strengthen the communication and feedback to our students & parents, the school has started sharing Monthly Progress Reports through formal PTM every month. Every student's progress is marked once a week in every subject.
Parents' Wellness Sessions: Moving one step forward, the school approach ours parents community and held Parents' Wellness Sessions lead by the school counselor and our Wellbeing team. Parents were communicated about the New Normals and the ways to look after their children as well as themselves.
