Covid-19 Health & Safety Standards for schools

Dear School Community,

Greetings!

Kindly see below a communication from KHDA:

"In line with the recent announcement from Dubai Government, health and safety standards for schools have now been updated.

Effective immediately:

  • Face masks are no longer required outdoors. They remain compulsory indoors for all staff, visitors and students in Year 2/Grade 1 and above.

  • Students or staff who are considered close contacts but do not show Covid symptoms are not required to isolate and can attend school.

  • Students or staff who are considered close contacts and show Covid symptoms can only return to school when they are free of symptoms, even if they have had a negative PCR test.

  • Schools must continue to inform parents if their child is considered a close contact.

  • Students or staff who test positive for Covid must isolate for 10 days.

  • Health and safety officers must continue with contact tracing.

  • Consistent and regular sanitisation procedures must continue to be followed.

  • Safety standards from relevant Dubai Government authorities (Dubai Municipality, Dubai Health Authority, etc) must continue to be followed.

  • Physical distancing is recommended."

With warm regards,

School Management
